When you register on Liwa, we collect your name, phone number, and optionally your email. When you post an ad, we collect ad content, photos, and your general location (state/city). We collect basic usage data to improve the platform.

Your information is used to provide the Liwa service: displaying your ads, enabling buyers to contact you, verifying your identity, and sending platform notifications. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your phone number is shown on ads you post unless you choose to hide it.

We do not sell or rent your data. We share limited information with service providers (such as Supabase for database hosting) strictly to operate the platform. We disclose information where required by Nigerian law.

Photos uploaded are stored on our servers and displayed publicly. All photos are watermarked with the Liwa brand. You retain ownership but grant Liwa a licence to display your content on the platform.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. Passwords are encrypted and never stored in plain text. Use a strong, unique password for your account.

You may request deletion of your account and data at any time. Contact us to update or remove your information.

Liwa uses browser local storage to maintain your login session and display preferences. No advertising cookies are used.

By registering or using Liwa, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these terms — continued use constitutes acceptance.

You must provide a valid Nigerian phone number to register. You are responsible for all activity under your account. One person may not maintain multiple accounts. You must be at least 18 years old to register.

All ads are subject to admin review before going live. Ads must be accurate and legal. You may only post items and services that are lawful in Nigeria. One ad per item. Liwa may reject or remove any ad without notice.

Strictly prohibited: weapons, controlled substances, counterfeit or stolen goods, adult content, human trafficking, pyramid schemes, fake job offers requiring payment, misleading financial ads, and anything that violates Nigerian law. Violations result in immediate account suspension.

Liwa is a classifieds platform only. We do not facilitate, hold, or guarantee any transaction. All deals are solely between buyer and seller. Liwa is not responsible for non-delivery, payment disputes, or fraud.

Paid promotions (Featured, Urgent) are available on request. Payment must be confirmed before activation. Fees are non-refundable once an ad is promoted.

Platform design, branding, and code belong to Liwa Nigeria. You retain ownership of content you post but grant Liwa a licence to display it. Do not reproduce Liwa branding without written permission.

Liwa is provided as-is. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from use of the platform, including losses from fraudulent ads or failed transactions. Users transact at their own risk.
